The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) invites the public to participate on Tuesday, October 15 and Thursday, October 17 in virtual public scoping meetings for the Antelope Valley Line (AVL) Capacity and Service Improvements Program in preparation for a draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) as part of the CEQA environmental review.
At the meetings the public will learn how proposed Antelope Valley Line capital improvements could improve service frequency between Los Angeles Union Station and Santa Clarita Valley up to 30 minutes and up to 60 minutes to the end of line in Lancaster, and will also provide a more reliable commuter rail service to meet mobility needs of residents, employees, and visitors throughout the region.
The three key capital improvements proposed along the AVL corridor in the cities of Santa Clarita, Los Angeles and Lancaster that will facilitate the proposed service increases will be discussed.

The scope of the project, including the goals and objectives, project area, project description, and the environmental impacts to be evaluated will be presented at the scoping meetings. The public can attend either of the meetings since the content of both meetings will be the same.
The AVL extends from Los Angeles Union Station in the City of Los Angeles and terminates in the City of Lancaster with stations in the cities and communities of Los Angeles, Glendale, Burbank, Sun Valley, Sylmar, San Fernando, Newhall, Santa Clarita, Acton, Palmdale Lancaster and unincorporated Los Angeles County.
