Long Beach-East LA Corridor Mobility Investment Plan

The Long Beach–East Los Angeles Corridor Mobility Investment Plan is a community-driven effort to reimagine transportation and quality of life along the I-710 Corridor. Covering 18 cities and three unincorporated communities, the plan invests $743 million in safer, cleaner, multimodal improvements shaped by local leadership. Adopted in April 2024, it replaces the prior freeway widening proposal with an equity-centered vision for health, mobility, and environmental justice.

Business and Community Support

Community Working Group (CWG)

In this new phase, all meetings will be public. Metro is forming a Community Working Group (CWG). As non-voting members, the CWG will work year-round to support project efforts. Meetings will provide updates, gather input on CWG formation, and welcome members of the public to participate.

Zero Emission Truck (ZET) Community Meetings

Metro is hosting community meetings to share information and gather input on two proposed clean truck charging sites along the corridor. These projects are part of Metro’s Zero-Emission Truck Program, which aims to reduce emissions, improve air quality, and support healthier neighborhoods.
At the meetings, residents will be able to learn about the proposed charging locations, ask questions, and share feedback on design, workforce opportunities, and community benefits.
