The Metro Entry Level Trainee Program (ELTP) offers recent college graduates an opportunity to gain professional work experience in public transportation. Selected ELTP participants will learn about the transportation industry under the close direction of experienced staff. Participants will receive meaningful assignments and provide assistance to transit professionals while gaining experience to build a career in public transit.
The types of ELTP opportunities offered to recent graduates may include but are not limited to: transit operations, construction/sustainability, graphic design, urban planning, human resources, marketing research, media relations, and administration.
ELTP assignments will last from one to two years.

Metro is actively seeking qualified candidates to fill future Bus Operator vacancies. The Metro Bridge Academy, a partnership amongst Metro, Los Angeles Valley College and Community Career Development prepares candidates in a four week pre-employment preparation program to be successful in the Bus Operator selection process. Graduates are guaranteed an interview with Metro.
