  • Google Maps or Apple Maps: Both include Metro routes and real-time data.
  • Station Maps: Posted at every station with major connections.

How to Pay for Metro

Three easy ways to pay for Metro.

  1. Apple Pay: just add a TAP card to your Apple Wallet.
  2. TAP card: purchase and add fare at any Metro Rail station, Metro Customer Center or select retail locations.
  3. Cash: USD is accepted at Ticket Vending Machines and for bus fares.

Fares:

  • One-way trip: $1.75 USD.
  • Transfer for free: within two hours when using TAP.
  • Ride more and save: With fare capping, never pay more than $5 for a day or $18 for 7 days.

How to Ride

  • Plan your route at Metro.net.
  • Tap your card or Apple Wallet at the station gate or on the bus reader.
  • Follow signs — Metro stations have clear English signage with pictograms.
  • Wait safely behind the yellow line and board through any door when the train arrives.
