Metro is installing bus priority lanes along 5.4 miles of Florence Avenue from West Boulevard to Florence Station. These peak-hour lanes improve bus speed and reliability while preserving general traffic lanes and parking outside of commute hours. The project connects South LA communities to key jobs, schools, and transit hubs.

When will the bus lanes operate?

Monday to Friday, 7am to 9am and 4pm to 7pm in both directions. Curbside lanes open to parking and regular traffic at other times.

Where will the bus lanes be?

Along 5.4 miles of Florence Avenue, from West Boulevard in Los Angeles to Florence Station in Huntington Park.

Will there still be traffic lanes?

Yes. Two general traffic lanes and a left-turn lane remain in each direction.

What happens to street parking?

Always refer to the signs posted along the corridor.

No parking during peak hours, but allowed midday, evenings, and weekends.

Who can use the bus lanes?

Primarily Metro buses, but also right-turning vehicles, driveway access, and bicyclists.
