Start riding Metro and 16 participating transit agencies as much as you want for your first 90 days — free. No limits.
After the first 90 days, choose the best option for you:
20 Free Rides Every Month
Get rides added to your TAP card every month. Use them anytime to take trips on participating transit agencies across LA County.
Discounted Passes on Other Transit
Save on transit passes for other LA County transit agencies, including Antelope Valley Transit Authority (AVTA), Big Blue Bus, BurbankBus, Culver City Bus, Foothill Transit, Glendale Beeline, Glendora Transit, GTrans, LADOT, Lawndale Beat, Long Beach Transit, Montebello Bus Lines, Norwalk Transit, Pasadena Transit, Santa Clarita Transit, and Torrance Transit.

Answering Some Common Questions
- 20 rides means 20 individual boardings, not 20 days. You can opt-in to have your 20 rides loaded automatically each month, you don’t need to load them manually.
- Free 2-hour transfers do NOT count against your 20 rides. Take a connecting bus or train at no extra charge. Interagency transfers have an additional cost.
- Unused rides roll over to the next month. You won’t lose them. A TAP card can hold up to eight 20-ride passes.
- You can use your LIFE rides on Metro buses and trains, Metro Micro and many other LA County transit agencies.
