How to Go Metro

Older Adult Transportation Pop-Ups

Join us at an Older Adult Transportation Pop-Up near you and learn how to travel with confidence using public transportation.

At these free events, you can:

  • Apply for a Reduced Fare TAP Card for seniors and learn about its benefits.
  • Discover easy-to-use trip planning tools to help you get where you need to go.
  • Get practical tips and guidance from transportation experts on navigating the Metro and your local transit system.

Metro Logo Reduced Fares for Seniors

    • Qualifying customers never pay more than $2.50 a day or $5 within seven days. After that, all of your rides are free. 
    • If you’re an occasional bus rider, you may prefer to pay cash for each ride, and to take advantage of our 35-cent off-peak fare.
    • Please note that disabled and Medicare customers are eligible for all senior cash and pass fares.
