Go Metro and receive a Zine
On Saturday, July 28th, Freewaves will present Ain’t I A Womxn? a genders promenade at Los Angeles State Historic Park in Chinatown. This outdoor participatory event brings together 35 artists and activist organizations under a full moon to stretch gender expressions in new directions. From an audio tunnel to voguing to group scream to the launch of the Zanja Madre Fan Club, participants will present performance art, spoken word, sonic art, media projections and zines. For new directions to the park, skip the driving and take the train to experience the art.
Show your TAP card, Metro employee ID, or LA County employee ID at the ZINES exhibition, next to the entrance to receive your zine.
Ain’t I A Womxn? is located at 1245 N. Spring St. in Downtown Los Angeles. Take the Gold Line to Chinatown Station, then walk a quick five minutes to Los Angeles State Historic Park. Plan your best route using the Trip Planner on metro.net.
