When is the last day I can use tokens?
Friday, November 29, 2019 was the last day you can use tokens on Metro. Tokens can be used to purchase Metro 1-Way trips on a TAP card.
Can I still use my tokens at other agencies?
No, tokens will be phased out on the following agencies that still accept tokens: Access Services, Culver CityBus, LADOT, Long Beach Transit, Montebello Bus Lines, Monterey Park Spirit Bus, Norwalk Transit and Torrance Transit.
I am a Social Service agency. Can I continue to buy tokens for my customers?
There are several TAP programs available that will allow you to continue to receive transportation benefits. Visit taptogo.net to find out more.
I am a non-profit. Can I continue to buy tokens for my customers?
No, you will no longer be able to buy tokens. TAP offers alternative programs that would enable you to continue to provide TAP fares for your customers. Learn more about these programs at taptogo.net .
How do I get a reduced fare TAP card?
If you are a senior citizen, a person with a disability, a college or vocation student, or a K-12 student, you may be eligible for reduced fares. To review reduced fare eligibility and apply for a Reduced Fare TAP card, visit taptogo.net or a Metro Customer Care Center .
Why are tokens being phased out?
The use of TAP cards has caused Metro tokens to become obsolete. As token use continues to decline, TAP cards have proven to be a viable, cost effective replacement that enables simpler, safer travel throughout LA County.
Reduced Fare TAP cards are available for the following groups:

- College/Vocational
- Student (K-8 and K-12)
