In March 2021, the Metro Board of Directors awarded contracts to two private-sector teams for Pre-Development work on the Sepulveda Transit Corridor Project.  In April 2021, Metro staff released five route alternatives to be studied as part of the project’s environmental review process.

On Tuesday, June 8, 2021, the public was invited to participate in a "Lunch with Us" webinar to learn what has been happening on the project since the Feasibility Study ended in 2019 and learn more about the upcoming environmental review process. The project has been identified as a good candidate for delivery through a public-private partnership (P3), which, if feasible, offers the potential for greater innovation, higher performance with reduced risk and cost, and potential schedule acceleration.

Next Steps

In Fall 2021, Metro plans to start the environmental phase with a public scoping period. Your continued participation in Sepulveda Transit Corridor is important, and there will be many opportunities to provide your feedback.
