Metro’s plan for better transit includes building an above-grade crossing at Rosecrans/Marquardt Avenues in the City of Santa Fe Springs. This project will improve safety and traffic flow, increase the efficiency of train movements and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Status

Construction: During the next couple of weeks, the contractor will begin to clear, grub, install best management practices (BMPs), potholing and install a water line.

Project Information: Metro awarded the construction contract to Flatiron West, Inc. in April 2022 and the Groundbreaking ceremony was conducted on June 2, 2022. Metro authorized the contractor to begin construction on June 13th. The construction is anticipated to be completed in 2025.
