The Sepulveda Station will be rebuilt as an elevated station to improve operating speeds, capacity and safety. As part of this project, Metro is currently studying the area surrounding the Sepulveda Station to identify potential improvements for walking and bicycling connections to the future station. The proposed improvements aim to make it easier, safer, and more convenient for Orange Line riders to walk and bike to and from the Sepulveda Station.
In November 2019, the project team conducted technical walk audits to collect existing conditions and characteristics to inform the pathway network routes and improvements. In response to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, the project team conducted virtual community engagement in September 2020 to inform the development of walking and bicycling project ideas near the station. The G Line Sepulveda Station First/Last Mile Plan will be presented to the Metro Board of Directors for adoption in early 2021.
