Installation of Electric Bus Charging Station at North Hollywood Station

Summary 

Metro is converting its entire fleet of buses to zero emission buses. This transition to electric buses will provide a cleaner, quieter fleet and significantly lower environmental impacts. The first phase will launch with the Orange Line battery electric zero emission buses.

Metro will be installing new bus charging stations at the Orange Line North Hollywood west parking lot starting Monday, July 22, through December 2019. The parking lot will be temporarily closed during this time.

Due to this construction activity, the Orange Line North Hollywood Bus Terminal will be temporarily closed beginning Sunday, July 28, through December 2019. The pick up/drop off locations will be relocated to the following:

  • Board buses at northwest corner of Lankershim and Chandler.
  • Exit buses at southeast corner of Lankershim and Cumpston.

West parking lot temporary closure beginning July 22, 2019 through December 2019 (Location: 11275 Chandler Bl). See below for other parking alternatives.

Orange Line North Hollywood bus pick-up/drop-off locations will be temporary re-located beginning Sunday, July 28, 2019, through December 2019.

What to Expect 

Metro personnel and signage will guide passengers to temporary bus stop locations.

Alternative parking: Please use the North, South or East North Hollywood parking lot facilities accessible from Chandler Bl or Cumpston St. In addition, the Red Line Universal Studios parking lot will be available as well.

Noteworthy

Please Plan Ahead: Metro encourages passengers to allow extra time to complete their trips.

The Metro Red Line will operate on a normal schedule.
