Metro work crews are in the process of replacing the escalators at the 4th Street west portal of Pershing Square Station. Therefore, the Pershing Square Station, 4th Street west entrance will be closed March, 2017 thru September 2017.
During this period, the 4th St. east entrance will remain open during construction. Pedestrian traffic will be safely routed around the construction zone. Clear signage will be in place directing both foot & vehicular traffic with detours where necessary. Station elevator access will be maintained at all times.
Our goal throughout this process is to keep the public aware of possible construction impacts including delays, detours, lane closures & potential noise. Having advance notice of these events will allow local residents & business to prepare accordingly.
Periodic updates on this project to follow.
