Last Updated

4/5/2017

Summary

Beginning Friday, April 7 at 8pm thru Monday, April 10 at 6am, there will be a full closure of Wilshire Blvd. from Fairfax Ave. to Spaulding Ave. to support the start of the Fairfax decking operation.

Wilshire Blvd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction on Friday at 10am from Crescent Heights Blvd. to Spaulding Ave. to begin street excavation and demolition, in order to complete the noisier work during day time hours.

Starting at 7am on Friday, April 7 thru Monday, April 10, Ogden Dr. will be closed.

The traffic signal at Wilshire Blvd. and Fairfax Ave. will be shutdown starting at 9am on Friday, April 7 thru Monday, April 10 at 6am. Traffic control officers will be in place to direct traffic at the intersection and throughout the weekend.

The decking will create a temporary roadway to allow work to proceed underground while traffic is maintained on the street. This operation requires full closures to safely remove and replace the street with new concrete panels. Sidewalk access will be maintained on the north side of Wilshire Blvd., with intermittent sidewalk closures and pedestrian detours for the south side.
