Weekend Utility Work at Wilshire/La Brea


From Saturday, January 21 to Sunday, January 22 utility work will occur on Wilshire Blvd. and La Brea Ave. Work will involve trenching to complete a utility connection. Work hours are from 7am to 11pm.

The following traffic control measures will be in place:

  • Westbound traffic on Wilshire Blvd. will be reduced to one lane from Orange Dr. to La Brea Ave.
  • Westbound traffic on Wilshire Blvd. will have a right turn restriction to La Brea Ave.
  • Northbound traffic on La Brea Ave. will be reduced to two lanes from 8th St. to Wilshire Blvd.
  • Parking restrictions will be installed on northbound La Brea Ave. between 8th St. and Wilshire Blvd. 


  • All work has received necessary permits and approvals.
  • Access for pedestrians will be maintained outside of the construction zone.
  • Access for emergency responders will be maintained.
