Telecommunications Utility Relocation Work

Sundays thru Thursdays (on-going), 7pm to 6am, nightly

  • Metro contractors continue to relocate telecommunication lines for the future Century City/ Constellation station, nightly.
  • Work includes excavation and trenching and installation of traffic control devices and trench plates. 
  • Work requires lane reductions on Constellation Blvd. between Avenue of the Stars and Century Park East.

DWP (Power) Utility Relocation Work

Mondays thru Fridays, 9am to 3:30pm

August 2nd thru August 31st

  • Metro contractors will continue relocating DWP (Power) utilities on Constellation Blvd. between Avenue of the Stars and Century Park East. 
  • The work will include excavation and trenching for the installation of a power duct bank, installation of traffic control devices, and trench plates on Constellation Blvd.  
  • Work will require lane reductions and turn restrictions into Century Plaza and 10131 driveways from westbound Constellation Blvd. 

Lane Reductions & Turn Restrictions

  • Intermittent eastbound Constellation Blvd reduced to one lane.
  • Intermittent westbound Constellation Blvd reduced to one lane.
  • Intermittent left turn lane reduction onto Century Park East.
  • Left turn restrictions into Century Plaza Driveway from westbound Constellation Blvd.
  • Left turn restriction for Century Plaza towers into westbound traffic on Constellation Blvd.
  • Left turn restriction from 10131 Constellation Blvd. driveway to eastbound Constellation Blvd.
  • Left turn restriction into 10131 Constellation Blvd. driveway from eastbound Constellation Blvd.
  • No impacts to Craft Valet. 

ATT&T Utlity Relocation Work

Mondays thru Fridays, anticipated work hours: 6am to 6pm on Constellation Blvd. east of Avenue of the Stars and 10pm to 6am on Avenue of the Stars and Constellation Blvd. west of Avenue of the Stars

August 14 thru Fall 2017

  • AT&T utility contractor will relocate utilities on Constellation Blvd. between Century Park East and Solar way and on Avenue of the Stars. 
  • The work will include excavation and trenching for the installation of communication conduit and cable, installation of traffic control devices, and trench plates on Constellation Blvd.  
  • Work will require lane reductions and turn restrictions from Century Plaza Driveway onto westbound Constellation Blvd. 

Lane Reductions & Turn Restrictions

  • Intermittent eastbound Constellation Blvd. reduced to one lane.
  • Intermittent westbound Constellation Blvd. reduced to one lane.
  • Intermittent southbound Avenue of the Stars reduced to one lane.
  • Intermittent northbound Avenue of the Stars reduced to one lane.
  • Left turn restrictions from southbound Avenue of the Stars onto eastbound Constellation Blvd.
  • Left turn restriction from Century Plaza towers driveway onto westbound Constellation Blvd.
  • Left turn restriction from eastbound Constellation Blvd. to Avenue of the Stars northbound.
  • Left turn restriction from westbound Constellation Blvd. to Avenue of the Stars southbound.

Metro Access

Metro bus stops may be relocated or lines will be impacted. Metro will post stop relocations and announce relocations and detours to riders.

Noteworthy

  • All work has received necessary permits and approvals.
  • Access to driveways, residences & businesses will be maintained at all times unless notified in advance.
  • Access for pedestrians will be maintained outside of construction zones.
  • Access for the Fire Department and emergency responders will be maintained.
  • Parking restrictions will be implemented in the immediate area of the work zone.
