Lane Reductions near Wilshire Blvd./La Cienega Blvd.

Summary

A series of lane reductions and turn restrictions will be in place from Monday, August 26 through Friday, August 31 from 8pm to 7am, to support instrumentation installation in the Wilshire Blvd./La Cienega Blvd. intersection.

  • Work Hours: 8pm to 7am

TRAFFIC CONTROL

  • Closure 1: Eastbound Wilshire Blvd. will be reduced to one lane between Stanley Ave. and La Cienega Blvd. Southbound La Cienega Blvd. will be reduced to one lane just north of the Wilshire Blvd. intersection.
    • Left turns from westbound Wilshire Blvd. to southbound La Cienega Blvd., and right turns from eastbound Wilshire Blvd. to southbound La Cienega Blvd. will be restricted.
  • Closure 2: Eastbound Wilshire Blvd. will be reduced to one lane between Stanley Ave. and La Cienega Blvd. Northbound La Cienega Blvd. will be reduced to one lane just south of the Wilshire Blvd. intersection.
    • Left turns from La Cienega Blvd. onto Wilshire Blvd. will be restricted. Left turns from westbound Wilshire Blvd. to southbound La Cienega Blvd. will be restricted.
  • Closure 3: Wilshire Blvd. will be reduced to two lanes in each direction between Stanley Ave. and Hamilton Dr. Northbound La Cienega Blvd. will be reduced to one lane just south of the Wilshire Blvd. intersection.
    • Left turns from Wilshire Blvd. to La Cienega Blvd. will be restricted.
  • Closure 4: Eastbound Wilshire Blvd. between Stanley Ave. and Hamilton Dr. will be reduced to one lane, Westbound Wilshire Blvd. will be reduced to two lanes between Stanley Ave. and Hamilton Dr. Southbound La Cienega Blvd. will be reduced to one lane north and south of the Wilshire Blvd. intersection. Northbound La Cienega Blvd. will be reduced to two lanes north and south of the Wilshire Blvd. intersection.
    • Left turns from Wilshire Blvd. to La Cienega Blvd., and La Cienega Blvd. to Wilshire Blvd. will be restricted.

Individual closures will be implemented to support the installation of instruments in specific locations. Once the instrument has been installed, that closure will not need to be implemented again.

ACCESS

  • Through traffic at Wilshire Blvd. and La Cienega Blvd. will be maintained in at least one lane.
  • Access to driveways in the closure areas will be maintained.
  • Access for Emergency Vehicles & First Responders will be maintained.

Noteworthy

  • All work has received necessary permits and approvals.
  • Access to driveways, residences & businesses will be maintained at all times unless notified in advance.
  • Access for pedestrians will be maintained outside of construction zones.
  • Access for the Fire Department and emergency responders will be maintained.
  • Parking restrictions will be implemented in the immediate area of the work zone.
