Sycamore Ave. Closure for Subsurface Investigation Work

Summary

Beginning Wednesday, May 1 and continuing through Friday, May 17, Sycamore Ave. north of Wilshire Blvd. will be closed to support subsurface investigation in advance of appendage construction.

The following traffic control will be in place, pending approval from the City of Los Angeles:

  • Westbound Wilshire Blvd. will be intermittently reduced to one lane between Orange Dr. and Sycamore Ave. from 9am to 3:30pm.
  • Sycamore Ave. just north of Wilshire Blvd. will be fully closed from 7am to 11pm.
  • Pedestrian crosswalks across Wilshire Blvd. and Sycamore Ave. will be maintained.

Noteworthy

  • Construction within project staging yards is 24-hours/day. 
  • All work has received necessary permits and approvals.
  • Access for pedestrians will be maintained outside of the construction zone.
