Pile installation at Mangrove Yard, Temple St, and Duco Yard

August 7, 2019: This work will require a closure of the southside Temple St sidewalk, near the Temple St intersection.


Summary

RCC continues pile installation along northbound Alameda St. Starting within the Mangrove yard, then Temple St and ending within the Duco yard.

Pile installation is anticipated to continue for approximately four months, through September 2019.

Anticipated work hours are:

  • Monday through Friday from 7 am to 9 pm.
  • Saturdays from 7 am to 7 pm (pile installation to begin after 8 am)

Additional work may be scheduled at a later date. A supplemental notice will be issued once work is scheduled.

Essentials

Activities include; saw cutting, excavation, surveying of existing underground utilities, pile installation and backfilling.

Access to all adjacent businesses will be maintained at all times.

Pedestrian access will be maintained outside of the work zone

What to Expect

Pile installation on Temple St will require directional closures.

Eastbound Directional Closure
Detour: Left on northbound (NB) Alameda St, right on Commercial St, right on Garey St, and a right back onto Temple St.

The pedestrian sidewalk on the south side of Temple St between Alameda St and Garey St will be restricted during work hours. Detour: use the north side sidewalk as an alternate route.

Westbound Directional Closure
Detour: left onto southbound (SB) Vignes St, right on 1st St, right on Alameda St, and a left back onto Temple St.

The pedestrian sidewalk on the north side of Temple St between Alameda St and Garey St will be restricted during work hours. Detour: use the south side sidewalk as an alternate route.
