Summary

The Regional Connector Constructors (RCC) will begin construction on a train communications line on Flower St and 7th St, to tie the Regional Connector Transit Project to the existing station at 7th St/Metro Center.

Work is anticipated to begin Monday, August 27, 2018, and continue for approximately six to nine months. Anticipated work hours, weather permitting, are 9 am to 3:30 pm and 9 pm to 5 am, Monday through Friday, and 7 am to 6 pm, Saturday and Sunday.

Essentials

Activities include setting up traffic control, asphalt saw-cutting, excavating, installing conduits, backfilling, grinding, hauling material and supplies.

Access to pedestrians will be maintained outside of the work area.

What to Expect

Thru traffic reduced during work hours on:

  • Westbound 7th St, between Flower St and Figueroa
  • Southbound Figueroa St between 7th St and 6th St

Construction equipment will be staged and demobilized from the site daily.

This work is being coordinated with other relocation activities in the area to minimize impacts to the community.
