Noise barrier install at the 1st/Central Station site

Summary

Regional Connector Constructors (RCC) will continue work on a construction noise barrier at the 1st St. and Central Ave. station site along the Alameda St., south of 1st St.

Work is anticipated to start Monday, March 6, and continue for one week. Anticipated work hours are from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Lane reduced thru traffic will be in place on southbound Alameda between 1st St. and 2nd St.

Activities include fabricating and hanging gates on noise barrier wall.

What to Expect

Access to businesses and driveways will be maintained. One lane reduction on Southbound Alameda between 1st St and 2nd St. Through traffic will be maintained.

Right turns from eastbound 1st St. to Southbound Alameda will be restricted. Detour will be to continue east bound 1st St. and right turn on Hewitt St., right on 2nd St. and back on south bound Alameda St.

Pedestrian access will be available outside of the work area.
