Geotechnical Instrumentation Install on 2nd St. between Hill St. & and Broadway St.

Summary

Regional Connector Constructors (RCC) will be installing geotechnical instrumentation in the vicinity of 2nd St. and Hill St. intersection.

Work will begin on Wednesday,  January 18, 2017 and continue for 6 weeks. Anticipated work hours are from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m, Monday through Friday, and  8am to 6pm on Saturdays.

Access to nearby businesses will be maintained.

Essentials

At least three crosswalks will remain open at all times. Access to pedestrians will be maintained outside of the work area. Geotechnical instrumentation is needed to monitor the underground work during construction.

What to Expect

January 18–24
The bike lane will be closed on WB 2nd St .between Broadway St. and Hill St.

January 25–31 
Lane reductions will be in place on northbound Hill St. between 1st St. and 3rd St. Left turns from northbound Hill St. onto westbound 2nd St may be restricted during work hours.

February 1–7
Lane reductions will be in place on northbound Hill St. between 1st ST. and 3rd St. Left turns from northbound Hill St. onto westbound 2nd St. will be restricted during work hours.

Eastbound 2nd St. traffic approaching Hill St. will be detoured onto southbound Hill St., left onto eastbound 4th St., left onto northbound Main St., and right onto eastbound 2nd St.

Intermittent eastbound directional closure of 2nd St. between Hill St. and Broadway St and northbound Hill St. traffic will be detoured right onto eastbound 1st St., right on southbound Broadway St. 

February 8–14
Lane reductions will be in place on northbound Hill St. between 2nd St. and 1st St. Left turns from southbound Hill St. onto eastbound 2nd St will be restricted during work hours.

February 15–21
Right turns from eastbound 2nd St. onto southbound Hill St will be restricted during work hours.
