Power Relocation Activities on Flower St. between 6th St. and Wilshire Bl.

Friday, April 28: The duration of this work has been extended to May 31, 2017.

March 31, 2017: Duration of activity extended to April 30.

March 3, 2017: Duration of activity extended to March 31.

February 3, 2017: Duration of activity extended to February 28.

Summary

Regional Connector Constructors (RCC) will continue potholing efforts on Flower St, mid-block between 6th St. and Wilshire Blvd. This includes utility investigation for future relocation of power line services.

Work is anticipated to resume Tuesday, January 10th and continue for approximately three weeks.

Anticipated work hours, weather permitting:

  • Mon-Fri: 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Saturdays: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Activities include saw cutting, grinding, pavement removal, excavation, backfill and paving.

Essentials

Access to all adjacent buildings will be maintained at all times. Onsite flagger will be available to assist entering/exiting access as needed. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

What to Expect

Flower St traffic detour

  • Lane reductions from 5th St. to Wilshire Blvd.
  • Thru traffic will be maintained at all times.

6th St traffic detour

  • Right turn from eastbound 6th St. to southbound Flower St. will be maintained.

This work will be coordinated with other activities in the corridor.
