Regional Connector Constructors (RCC) will be installing geotechnical instrumentation on southbound Alameda St. between Temple St. and 1st St.
Work will begin on Monday, November 21, 2016 for three days. Anticipated work hours are from 9 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Wednesday.
The work area will include 1 southbound lane on the west side of Alameda St. between Temple St. and 1st St.
A lane shift will occur on southbound Alameda St. between Temple St. and 2nd St. Thru traffic on both sides of Alameda will be available at all times.
Activities will include daily traffic shift set up, installation of instrumentation, back fill, and reopening of the traffic at the end of the work shift.
Geotechnical instrumentation is needed to monitor the underground work during construction.
What to Expect
Left turns at the intersection of 1st St. and Alameda will be restricted during the work hours.
Northbound Alameda to westbound 1st St detour:
Continue traveling on northbound Alameda St., left on Temple St., left on San Pedro, and back on 1st St.
Southbound Alameda to eastbound 1st St. detour:
Continue traveling on southbound Alameda St., left on 2nd St., left of Hewitt St., back on 1st St.
All crosswalks will remain open. Pedestrian access will be available outside of the work area.
