Waterline Work Preparation Activity on Flower St. between 6th St. & Wilshire Blvd.

Summary

The Regional Connector Constructors (RCC) will be performing sawcutting for the future 24-inch waterline on southbound Flower St. between 6th St. and Wilshire Blvd.

Work is anticipated to begin on Monday, November 14, 2016, for one day from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The work area will include two western-most lanes of Flower St., south of 6th St. Lane reductions will occur on southbound Flower St between 5th St and Wilshire Blvd during work hours, maintaining thru traffic at all times.

Essentials

Activities will include saw-cutting and grinding asphalt. Noise barriers and sound blankets will be in place to mitigate noise.

What to Expect

  • Lane reductions will also occur on 6th between Figueroa and Flower St.
  • One of the two right turn pockets traveling eastbound 6th St. to southbound Flower St. will be restricted.
  • One of four pedestrian crosswalks will be restricted during work hours.
  • Access to pedestrians will be maintained outside of the work area.
