The Regional Connector Constructors (RCC) will be performing sawcutting for the future 24 inch waterline work on southbound Flower St. between 5th St. and Wilshire Blvd.
Work is anticipated to begin on Saturday, November 5, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Lane reductions will occur on southbound Flower St. between 5th St. and Wilshire Blvd. during work hours, maintaining thru traffic at all times.
Activities will include saw-cutting and grinding asphalt. Sound barriers and blankets will be in place as the noise mitigation.
What to Expect
Lane reductions will occur on 6th St. between Figueroa and Grand Ave. 1 right turn lane from eastbound 6th St. to southbound Flower St. will be accessible.
Left turns from southbound Flower St. to 6th St. will be restricted intermittently.
One of four pedestrian crosswalks at the intersection of 6th St. and Flower St. will be restricted during work hours.
Access to pedestrians will be maintained outside of the work area.
