The Regional Connector Constructors (RCC) will begin installing temporary underground power duct banks at the intersection of 5th St. and Flower St.
Saw cutting and grinding activities will take place during daytime hours (9 a.m.–3:30 p.m.). Pavement removal will take place after 9 p.m. on weekdays.
Work is anticipated to add daytime shift starting Tuesday, November 1, and continue night time shift for approximately six weeks.
Anticipated work hours:
- Monday–Friday: 9 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
- Monday–Friday: 9 p.m.–5:30 a.m.
- Saturdays: 8a.m.–6p.m.
Lane reductions will occur on 5th St. between Grand Ave. and Flower St.
Access to all adjacent buildings will be maintained at all times.
Driveway access will be maintained at all times. Pedestrian access will be maintained outside of the work area.
Activities include saw cutting and grinding, during daytime; pavement removal, excavation, installation of PVC conduit, backfill and paving will be during night time.
What to Expect
Left turns from 5th onto Flower St. will be will be made available. Work will take place on the southeast corner of 5th St./Flower St. restricting right turns.
The east crosswalk will be closed. The three remaining crosswalks will be open at all times.
