Water Relocation at the Intersection of 6th and Flower St

Summary

As part of the on-going utility relocation efforts, Regional Connector Constructors (RCC) will begin water line relocation work at the 6th and Flower Street intersection.

Work is anticipated to begin Thursday, August 18, 2016, and continue for four months. Anticipated work hours are 9 p.m. to 7 a.m., Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays.

Activities include trench excavation with hand held tools, installation of conduit, backfill, and pavement restoration

Essentials

Crosswalks at west side of 6th and Flower may be restricted during work hours. Pedestrian access will be maintained outside of the work area. Local access and driveways will be available at all times.

What to Expect

Thru traffic will be maintained on southbound Flower St with lane reductions between 5th and 6th streets during work hours.

Thru traffic on eastbound 6th St will be restricted to dedicated right turns only during work hours.

Detour on east bound 6th St.
Eastbound 6thSt traffic at Flower will be detoured, right on Flower, right on Wilshire, right on Figueroa, right on 3rd St., right on Flower St. and back on east bound 6th St.
