Regional Connector Constructors (RCC) will be continuing ongoing water line utility relocation efforts along Flower St. between the 5th/Flower and 6th/Flower intersections.
Work is anticipated to continue Monday, March 14, 2016 and will continue for approximately 7 months. Anticipated work hours are 9 p.m. to 7 a.m., Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., on Saturdays.
Activities include trench excavation, installation of conduit, backfill, and pavement restoration.
Thru traffic will be maintained on Flower St. with lane reductions in place between 3rd St. and 6th St.
Crosswalks at the 5th/Flower and 6th/Flower intersections may be restricted during work hours. Pedestrian access will be maintained outside of the work area.
Street parking on 5th St. between Grand Ave. and Flower St. may be restricted during work hours.
What to Expect
This activity will require intermittent closures of 6th St. between Flower St. and Hope St. 6th St. traffic will detoured right on Flower St., left on Wilshire Bl., left on Hope St., back to 6th St.
Thru traffic will be maintained on 5th St. with intermittent lane reductions in place between Hill St. and Figueroa St.
Additional intermittent lane reductions on 6th St. between Figueroa St. and Flower St. will be in place during this activity.
Left turns from Flower St. to 6th St. will be maintained at all times during this activity. Right turns from 6th St. to Flower St. may be intermittently restricted during this activity. Access to businesses and driveways will be maintained.
