Utility Testing at the Intersection of 1st St. and Hewitt St.

Summary

Regional Connector Constructors (RCC) will be conducting utility testing along with the Department of Water and Power on the southeast corner of 1st and Hewitt St.

Work is to start on Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., one day only

Eastbound 1st St. will be restricted from Hewitt St. to Vignes St. during the work hours.

Northbound Hewitt St. to eastbound 1st St. right turn will be restricted.

Essentials

Activities include removing of metal plate, conduct power conduit testing by the Department of Water and Power, and back fill.

What to Expect

Access to businesses and driveways will be maintained as the following for local access:

  • Local access for driveways on 1st. St. between Alameda and Hewitt, will be using 1/Alameda for local access.
  • Local access for driveways on 1st St. between Hewitt and Vignes, will be using 1/Vignes with the assistance of a flagger.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during work hours.

Northbound Hewitt St. to east bound 1st St Detour:


Take a right at 2nd St., left on Vignes, and right on 1st St., back on eastbound 1st St.

There will be a lane reduction on westbound 1st St between Vignes St. and Hewitt St.
