Power Utility Work (LADWP) on west side of Flower St., south of 5th St.

Friday, October 14: Work hours revised to include weekend work.

Summary

As part of on-going power relocation efforts, LADWP will be performing power cutover and intercept work and ductbank installation on the west side of Flower St., south of 5th St.

This activity is anticipated to continue Monday, September 26, 2016 and continue for approximately for one month. Anticipated work hours are: Tuesday to Friday from 9a.m. to 3:30p.m and Saturdays 8a.m. to 6p.m.

Thru traffic on southbound Flower St. will be reduced to three lanes during work hours. 

Essentials

The west side sidewalk on Flower St. between 5th St. and the mid-block crosswalk may be restricted during work hours.
Activities include saw cutting, trench excavation, conduit installation, and backfilling.

What to Expect

  • Crosswalks and pedestrian access will be maintained outside of the work zone.
  • Access to passenger loading/offloading will be maintained for businesses in the area. 
  • Sound mitigation measures will be in place during this activity. 
  • DASH stop at 5th/Flower will be relocated during this activity.
