Train Control Testing Impacts Nightime Stations
As part of work on Metro’s New Blue Improvements Project, Metro’s contractor, Mass Electric, will be performing train control testing between the Blue Line’s Willowbrook/Rosa Parks Station and the Artesia Station on Monday, August 19th, from 10pm to 1am.
This work requires a three-hour service interruption at two additional Blue Line stations (Compton and Artesia) in addition to the stations that are currently out of service during the New Blue Improvements Project.
On Monday, August 19th, from 10pm to 1am, for a total of three hours, the Blue Line will be out of service between Del Amo Station and 7th St/Metro Center and will continue operating from Del Amo Station to Long Beach. Customers can continue northbound with the 864 Local Bus Shuttle between the Del Amo Station and 7th St/Metro Center.
- Beginning at 10pm, Monday, August 19th, to 1am, for three hours, the Blue Line will be out of service between Del Amo Station and 7th St/Metro Center.
- The 864 Local Bus Shuttle will pick-up passengers at the Del Amo Station and continue serving each station between Del Amo and 7th St/Metro Center.
What to Expect
- The 864 Bus Shuttle will operate a 20-minute headway during this three-hour period.
