Historic Broadway Station Street Restoration


Regional Connector Constructors (RCC) will implement an extended closure of 2nd St between Spring St and Broadway for deck removal and street restoration as early as October 30, 2020 through Summer 2021.   Each intersection will be closed for select weekends starting Friday 9 pm to Monday 5 am to remove deck panels and restore the street. 

  • 2nd St and Broadway four (4) select weekends:
    • January 15, 2021
    • January 22, 2021
    • February 12, 2021
    • February 19, 2021
  • 2nd St and Spring St four (4) select weekends:
    • May 7, 2021
    • May 14, 2021
    • June 11, 2021
    • June 18, 2021
  • *Dates subject to change 


Street closure dates and work hours will be confirmed prior to work starting. A supplemental notice will be issued once work is scheduled. 



Activities include removal of temporary deck panels, backfill, final placement of utilities, roadway paving, sidewalk and street lighting improvements as part of street restoration. 


Temporary closure of crosswalks at 2nd St, Broadway, and Spring St will be in place during work hours. Pedestrians will be detoured outside the construction zone.  Access to adjacent businesses will be maintained at all times. 



Local access only will be maintained during the closure of 2nd St between Spring St and Broadway. Thru traffic will be maintained on Broadway and Spring St, except during select weekend closures. Lane reductions will be in place on Spring St and Broadway between 1st St and 3rd St. DETOUR MAP

  2nd St Detour: 

·       Westbound: left on Beaudry Av, right on 1st St, right on Los Angeles St, back to 2nd St 

·       Eastbound: right on Los Angeles St, left on 1st St, left on Beaudry Av, back to 2nd St. 


Weekend intersection closure detours: 


  • Northbound: right on 4th St, left on Main St, left on Temple St, back to Broadway 

  • Southbound: right on Temple St, left on Hill St, left on 4th St, back to Broadway 

Spring St: 

  • Southbound: right on Temple St, left on Hill St, left on 4th St, back to Spring St.
