Summary

As part of the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project, Metro’s contractor, Walsh-Shea Corridor Constructors (WSCC) will continue working on civil improvements in Park Mesa. The civil work includes frontage road curb and gutter reconstruction, ADA ramps, sidewalk and roadway reconstruction. The work will be conducted in segments and phases. 
 
Due to this construction activity the frontage road will be closed to vehicle traffic and on-street parking from Monday, November 28 to Monday, December 19th.   Secure, lighted temporary parking is being provided on the south east corner of Crenshaw Bl and 50th St.
 
The following work will be performed during the 21-day closure on consecutive weekends:  demolition and replacement of the existing sidewalk, curb, gutter; demolition and replacement of a section of roadway; demolition of the frontage road median island; and the grading and repaving of impacted area with asphalt and/or concrete.

Phase 1: 9 p.m. to 6 a.m, December 2nd – December 5th
Closure of northbound number 2 and 3 lanes on Crenshaw Bl from 50th St to 48th St
Sidewalk closure from 50th to 48th St
Full 50th St closure from 11th Ave to Crenshaw Bl
Full Frontage road closure from 50th St to 48th St
 
Phase 2: 9 p.m. to 6 a.m, December 9th – December 12th
Closure of northbound number 2 and 3 lanes on Crenshaw Bl from 50th St to 48th St
Sidewalk closure from 50th St to 48th St
Full frontage Road closure from 50th St to 48th St
 
Phase 3: 9 p.m. to 6 a.m, December 16th – December 19th 
Closure of northbound number 2 and 3 lanes on Crenshaw Bl from 50th St to 48th St
Full 48th St Closure from 11th Ave to Crenshaw Bl 
Sidewalk closure from 50th St to 48th St 
Full frontage Rd closure from 50th St to 48th St 
 
Phase 4: 9 p.m. to 6 a.m, December 16th – December 19th
Closure of northbound left turn pocket and number 1 lane Crenshaw Bl from 50th St to 48th St 
Full 48th St closure from 11th Ave to Crenshaw Blvd 
Sidewalk closure from 50th St to 48th St
Full frontage road closure from 50th St to 48th St
 
Phase 3 and phase 4:
will be alternating and not be implemented concurrently. Northbound Crenshaw will be maintained to one lane of travel at all times.

WHAT TO EXPECT
• Frontage road parking and vehicular access will be prohibited from November 28 to December 19.  Secure, lighted temporary parking is being provided on the south east corner of Crenshaw Bl and 50th St.
• A five-foot temporary sidewalk will be maintained throughout this activity however there will be intermittent sidewalk closures during the work shift.
• Access to emergency responders will be maintained.
