K-Rail Removal and Street Restriping

Summary

As part of Metro’s Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project, Walsh-Shea Corridor Constructors (WSCC) will be working on the removal of the cement barriers (k-rail) and restriping of the Century Bl and Aviation Bl intersection. This will work will be completed over the span of one weekend and done in two phases commencing on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 9pm.

WHAT: K-rail removal and street restriping
WHEN: Starting on Friday, October 12, 2018 from 9pm to 6am Monday, October 15, 2018. Weather permitting.
WHERE: Century Bl and Aviation Bl
DURATION: One weekend

What To Expect

Phase I
- Two eastbound lane reductions on Century Bl between Airport and Concourse Way
- All left turns will be restricted at the Century Bl and Aviation Bl intersection
- Two westbound lane reductions on Century Bl between Concourse Way and Bellanca Av

Phase II
- Two westbound lane reductions on Century Bl between Concourse Way and Bellanca Av
- Left turn restriction for northbound traffic on Aviation Bl onto westbound Century Bl
- Right turn restriction for southbound traffic on Aviation Bl onto westbound Century Bl

Access to emergency responders will be maintained.
