As part of the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project, Metro’s contractor, Walsh-Shea Corridor Constructors (WSCC), will be working on slot trenching field investigations. Slot trenching is the process of digging narrow trenches and it is done for the future installment of pipes, cables or other in-ground utilities. In order to facilitate the slot trenching, there will be work done in the center of Crenshaw Bl at 52nd St.
- North on Crenshaw Bl
- West on 48th St
- South on Victoria Av
- West on 52nd St
The following detour will be implemented for eastbound traffic:
- South on Crenshaw Bl
- East on 54th St
- North on 11th St
- East on 52nd St
Following the completion of this work, WSCC will continue this activity at the following intersections:
- Crenshaw Bl and 54th St
- Crenshaw Bl and 57th St

WHEN: September 6, 2016, Monday through Friday from 7am to 3:30pm, weather permitting.
WHERE: Crenshaw Bl and 52nd St
DURATION: Three weeks
What to Expect
- Access through Crenshaw Bl for both northbound and southbound traffic will be maintained.
- Northbound and southbound traffic on Crenshaw Bl will continue to be able to make a right turn onto eastbound 52nd St.
- No left turns onto Crenshaw Bl from westbound and eastbound 52nd St.
- Westbound and eastbound traffic on 52nd St will need to make a right turn on Crenshaw Bl.
