Continuous Street Closure

Summary

As part of Metro’s Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project, Walsh-Shea Corridor Constructors (WSCC) will be working on the at grade crossing at Crenshaw Bl and Slauson Av starting at 9am on Friday, June 8, 2018. This will require the full continuous street closure of Slauson Av at Crenshaw Bl for 69 hours.

WHEN: Starting at 9am on Friday, June 8, 2018 through 6am Monday, June 11, 2018. Weather permitting. 
WHERE: Crenshaw Bl and Slauson Av
DURATION: 69 hours 

What To Expect

Full closure of Slauson Av at Crenshaw Bl. 

Eastbound and westbound traffic on Slauson Av will need to make a right turn onto Crenshaw Bl.

Left turns from eastbound and westbound Slauson Av onto Crenshaw Bl will be restricted.

Left turns from northbound and southbound Crenshaw Bl onto Slauson Av will be restricted.

One northbound and southbound lane reduction on Crenshaw Bl at Slauson Av.

Crenshaw Bl crosswalk on Slauson Av will be closed. Pedestrians will be redirected to an area outside of construction to safely cross the street. 

Eastbound Detour:

  • Southbound on Crenshaw Bl
  • Eastbound on Florence Av
  • Northbound on Western Av
  • Eastbound on Slauson Av

Westbound Detour:

  • Northbound on Western Av
  • Westbound on Vernon Av
  • Southbound on Crenshaw Bl
  • Westbound on Slauson Av 

Access to emergency responders will be maintained.
