Duct Bank Installation at Slauson Av and Crenshaw Bl

Summary

As part of Metro’s Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project, Walsh-Shea Corridor Constructors (WSCC) will be working on the installation of the duct bank at Slauson Av and Crenshaw Bl intersection. This work will be done in three phases and each phase will last approximately two weeks.

WHAT: Duct bank installation
WHEN: Starting on May 7, 2018, from 9 pm to 6 am Monday through Friday. 8 pm to 6 am Saturday and Sunday. Weather permitting.
WHERE: Slauson Av and Crenshaw Bl
DURATION: Six weeks

What To Expect

Phase I
- All left turns will be restricted at the Slauson Av and Crenshaw Bl intersection.
- Eastbound traffic will be pushed slightly north (into left turn pockets) to accommodate for the work taking place at the southern side of the Slauson Av and Crenshaw Bl intersection.
- Access to both eastbound and westbound traffic will be maintained.
- Closure of the Crenshaw Bl crosswalk on the south side of Slauson Av. Pedestrians will be redirected to the northern crosswalk.

Phase II
- All left turns will be restricted at the Slauson Av and Crenshaw Bl intersection.
- Westbound traffic will be pushed slightly south (into left turn pockets) to accommodate for the work taking place at the northern side of the Slauson Av and Crenshaw Bl intersection.
- Access to both eastbound and westbound traffic will be maintained.
- Closure of the Crenshaw Bl crosswalk on the north side of Slauson Av. Pedestrians will be redirected to the southern crosswalk.

Phase III
- One westbound and eastbound lane reduction on Slauson Av between Victoria Av and 11th Av.
- All left turns will be restricted at the Slauson Av and Crenshaw Bl intersection.

  • Access to emergency responders will be maintained.
