Metro C Line (Green) Service Interruption


As part of the State, County, and applicable City orders specific to the COVID-19 response, Metro work activities are currently included as “Essential” activities. Therefore, work activities are continuing as permitted by the local jurisdiction.

Metro will perform track configuration work to connect the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project to a section of Metro C Line (Green) beginning at 7:00 pm, Friday, May 1, 2020, until the end of service, Sunday, May 3, 2020.

This work will require interruption of rail service between the Hawthorne/Lennox Station and the Redondo Beach Station. Due to this work, free bus shuttles will take passengers between the following six stations:
• Hawthorne/Lennox
• Aviation/LAX
• Mariposa
• El Segundo
• Douglas
• Redondo Beach


Free bus shuttles will take passengers between Aviation/LAX Station and the Redondo Beach Station, stopping at each station in between. The shuttle between the Aviation/LAX Station and LAX, operated by the Los Angeles World Airports, will continue to run on its regular schedule.

What to Expect

Service will be maintained with free bus shuttles. Passengers can follow the temporary signs for directions.
