Nightly Directional Closures of Century Blvd at Aviation Blvd

Summary

Walsh-Shea Corridor Constructors (WSCC) will implement nightly directional closures of westbound traffic then eastbound traffic on Century Bl, between Aviation Bl and Bellanca Av, for the safe removal of the existing falsework (framing) of the future Aviation/Century station. The closures are scheduled to last two weeks, will be implemented one direction at a time and will be performed at night. The first directional closure will begin on Monday, April 3, 2017.

The first closure will impact westbound traffic of Century Boulevard, nightly from 10 pm to 6 am, Monday, April 3rd, 2017 through Saturday, April 8th, 2017.
The second closure will impact eastbound traffic of Century Boulevard, nightly from 10 pm to 6 am, Monday, April 10th, 2017 through Saturday, April 15th, 2017.

- Left turn at Airport Bl
- Right turn at Arbor Vitae St
- Right turn at Aviation Bl
- Left turn at Century Bl

Detour (truck access) to Los Angeles International Airport from westbound Century Bl:
- Right turn at La Cienega Bl
- Left turn at Arbor Vitae St
- Left turn at Airport Bl
- Right turn at Century Bl

Local detour to Los Angeles International Airport from westbound Century Bl:
- Right turn at Aviation Bl
- Left turn at Arbor Vitae St
- Left turn at Airport Bl
- Right turn at Century Bl

What To Expect

  • Framing removal will not have any impact on weekend traffic during Saturday nights or Sunday nights
  • Access to emergency responders will be maintained.
