As part of the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project, Metro's contractor, Walsh-Shea Corridor Constructors (WSCC) will continue working on civil improvements in Park Mesa. The civil work includes frontage road curb and gutter reconstruction, ADA ramps, street lighting, traffic signals and sidewalk reconstruction. The work will continue to be conducted in segments and phases.
This phase includes a three week closure of the frontage road to allow for these civil improvements. Following the three week closure, the frontage road will be reopened to pedestrians, vehicular traffic and parking.
WHAT: Civil Work Improvements
WHEN: Beginning on Monday August 15, 2016 to September 5, 2016 weather permitting. Work hours will be from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
WHERE: Southbound Crenshaw Blvd. between Westmount Ave. to Frontage Rd.
DURATION: Three weeks
What to Expect
- Sidewalk in this area will be closed and pedestrians will be redirected to the opposite side of the street.
- Frontage road vehicular access will be restricted during the length of this operation.
- Access to emergency responders will be maintained.
