Continuing Storm Drain Installation at Centinela Ave. and Florence Ave.


As part of the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project, Walsh-Shea Corridor Constructors (WSCC) will continue installation of a storm drain line on Centinela Av at Florence Av. as part of a reconfiguration of utilities for the future light rail line. The installation will require potholing, saw cutting, excavation and the installation of a new catch basin, storm drain line and junction structure. This work continues to require temporary lane closures on Centinela Av, in both directions, lasting approximately one month.


WHAT: Storm drain installation

WHEN: Continuing July 25, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, weather permitting.

WHERE: Centinela Ave. at Florence Ave.

DURATION: One month

What to Expect

  • Local access will be maintained.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained.
  • Access for emergency responders will be maintained.
  • One lane in each direction will be maintained on Centinela Ave. at all times.
