What stations are closed & when?

South Closure: January - May 2019

The southern portion of the line from Willowbrook/Rosa Parks Station to the Downtown Long Beach Station will be closed for four months while the northern portion of the alignment remains open.

Closed stations include:

  • Willowbrook/Rosa Parks (Blue Line only; Green Line remains open)
  • Compton
  • Artesia
  • Del Amo
  • Wardlow
  • Willow St
  • Pacific Coast Highway
  • Anaheim St
  • 5th St
  • 1st St
  • Downtown Long Beach
  • Pacific Av

North Closure: May - September 2019

Once the southern portion of the alignment is reopened, the northern portion of the alignment will be closed for four months from the Willowbrook/Rosa Parks Station to the 7th St/Metro Center.

Closed stations include:

  • Willowbrook/Rosa Parks (Blue line only; Green Line remains open)
  • 103rd St/Watts Towers
  • Firestone
  • Florence
  • Slauson
  • Vernon
  • Washington
  • San Pedro St
  • Grand/LATTC
  • Pico
  • 7th St/Metro Center

Expo Line Closure (Two stops for 45 days)

During the Northern Segment Closure, construction on the shared track portion of Metro Blue and Expo Lines will result in a 45-day service interruption of the Expo and Blue Line 7th St/Metro Center and Pico Station.

Closed stations:

  • Blue/Expo 7th St/Metro Center (Blue and Expo Lines only; Red and Purple Lines remain open)
  • Pico Station

Willowbrook/Rosa Parks Station Closure (Blue Line only): January - September 2019

Metro will provide three levels of bus shuttle service during these closures to provide customers with a variety of service options.
