Developer Seeking Project Approvals from the City of Los Angeles
Since entering into an Exclusive Negotiation Agreement (ENA) with Metro in March 2018, LTSC has conducted community outreach to more than a dozen community stakeholder groups, and has worked with stakeholders and Metro to refine the project’s design. Before the Metro Board can approve a Joint Development Agreement, the project must be environmentally cleared and entitled by the City of Los Angeles. In September 2019 LTSC submitted for entitlements from the Los Angeles Department of City Planning. LTSC anticipates starting construction in 2021.
Over the coming months, Metro and LTSC will continue to negotiate the financial terms of the project, with the goal of returning to the Metro Board in late 2020 for approval to enter into a Joint Development Agreement and any other agreements necessary to complete the project.
