Overview

Metro is preparing a Supplemental/Recirculated Draft Environmental Impact Statement/Environmental Impact Report (EIS/EIR) for the Eastside Transit Corridor Phase 2 Project (Project), that proposes to extend the Gold Line further east from its current terminus at Pomona Bl and Atlantic Bl in East Los Angeles to South El Monte via State Route 60 (SR-60) and/or Whittier along Washington Bl.

Four (4) Alternatives are being studied as part of the Supplemental/Recirculated EIS/EIR:

  1. No Build
  2. SR-60
  3. Washington Bl
  4. Combined

The SR-60, Washington Bl and Combined Alternatives will also explore opportunities for first/last mile improvements and transit-oriented communities.

As part of these efforts, Metro conducted scoping meetings to receive formal comments on the scope of Supplemental/Recirculated Draft EIS/EIR in June 2019.

Public Scoping Meetings are an important step in the preparation of a Supplemental/Recirculated Draft EIS/EIR that is required in accordance with federal and state requirements for this Project.

The scoping period is still underway and will close on Monday, July 15, 2019.

Please submit your scoping comment .
