Review Advisory Committee (RAC)

The Review Advisory Committee (RAC) was established in 1995. The RAC is a community-based, 25-active-member appointed committee that meets on a monthly basis. It is organized specifically to review and comment on the general status and direction of Metro’s Eastside Light Rail Transit Project.

The RAC advocates the community's interests to Metro and government officials and reviews issues related to the Eastside Light Rail Transit Project which include but are not limited to: environmental, economic development, and community linkages opportunities.

The RAC membership consists of representatives from various segments of the community such as: resident tenants, resident property owners, businesses, community based organizations, religious institutions, educational institutions.

Their leadership, vision and efforts resulted in successfully planning and designing the Metro Gold Line Eastside Extension.

RAC meetings are generally held on a monthly basis as notified by Metro. Meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. at a different location along the alignment. Notifications of meetings are sent one week prior to the meeting.

To be notified of RAC meetings and to be placed on the mailing list, please contact Community Relations at 213.922.3587.
