Crenshaw Blvd Closure
Jan 4th - Jan 12th
Crenshaw Blvd will undergo a closure of seven consecutive days in order to support excavation and decking activities for construction of the underground Exposition Station. Crenshaw Blvd will be closed 24/7 between Exposition Blvd and Rodeo Rd on the following dates:
Starting January 4, 9PM through January 12, 6AM
Traffic on Rodeo Rd
Traffic on Rodeo Rd Eastbound and Westbound will be maintained
Upon completion of these closures and work activities for the Exposition Station, construction will continue below Crenshaw Blvd with minimal impact to the traveling public throughout the remainder of station construction.
The traveling public is advised to please plan ahead to avoid traffic delays during the full closure of Crenshaw Blvd. Traffic control measures and signage will be implemented throughout the closure. Detour routes have been approved by the City of Los Angeles and are as follows:
Southbound Detour:
- Right on Jefferson
- Left on La Brea
- Left on Rodeo Rd
- Right on MLK
Northbound Detour:
- Right on MLK
- Left on Western
- Left on Exposition
- Right on Crenshaw
Vehicles traveling northbound on Crenshaw will be allowed to turn right and left on Rodeo Rd.
Access to local area businesses in the vicinity of construction will be maintained.
Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout construction, but will be re-routed around the construction work zone.
Bus Detours
Due to the temporary closure of Crenshaw Bl there will be a temporary detour of Metro bus services.
Metro bus lines 210, 710 and 740 will be temporarily detoured during this time
Southbound Bus Detour:
- Regular route Southbound on Crenshaw
- Left on Jefferson
- Right on Western
- Right on Exposition veer into Rodeo Rd
- Left on Crenshaw following regular route
Northbound Bus Detour:
- Regular route Northbound on Crenshaw
- Right on Rodeo Rd turning into Exposition
- Left on Western
- Left on Jefferson
- Right on Crenshaw continuing regular route
