- Cesar E Chavez Av Bus Stop Improvement Project
The Cesar Chavez Bus Stop Improvements project will add amenities at five locations near Union Station on Cesar E Chavez Avenue between Alameda Street and Vignes Street to help improve the ridership experience and strengthen connections to other modes of transit throughout the area.
- Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project
The Crenshaw/LAX Transit Corridor Project is a proposed 8.5-mile light rail line that will extend from the intersection of Exposition and Crenshaw Boulevards to the Metro Green Line’s Aviation/LAX Station. The Project will serve the cities of Los Angeles, Inglewood, Hawthorne, and El Segundo and portions of unincorporated Los Angeles County.
- Location 64 MOW
Metro’s Location 64 Maintenance of Way (MOW) Building is being constructed at 590 South Santa Fe Avenue, adjacent to the new City of Los Angeles 6th Street Bridge in the Arts District.
- New Blue Improvements Project
Major improvements are underway for Metro’s oldest light rail line.
- Purple Line Extension
Work is proceeding on the long-envisioned subway to the Westside which has been discussed in Los Angeles for the better part of the last half-century.
- Purple Line Extension - Section 1
Section 1 of the Purple Line Extension Transit Project will add three new stations and 3.92 miles of new rail to Metro’s Rail system. The three new stations will be located at Wilshire/La Brea, Wilshire/Fairfax, and Wilshire/La Cienega.
- Purple Line Extension - Section 2
Section 2 includes 2.59 miles of additional tracks and two new stations at Wilshire/Rodeo and Century City/Constellation.
- Purple Line Extension - Section 3
Section 3 includes 2.59 miles of additional tracks and two new stations at Westwood/UCLA and the Westwood/VA Hospital.
- Purple Line Extension Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM)
The two Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs) for the Purple Line Extension Transit Project Section 1 will be used to dig two parallel tunnels that will connect three new stations from Koreatown to Beverly Hills. Insert main page content
- Regional Connector Transit Project
Extends from Metro Gold Line Little Tokyo/Arts District Station to 7th Street/Metro Center Station, allowing passengers to transfer to Blue, Expo, Red and Purple Lines bypassing Union Station.
