Scoping Meetings

On Thursday, October 1, 2020, Metro as a lead agency under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) released a Notice of Preparation (NOP) for a Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) for the proposed Antelope Valley Line Capacity and Service improvements Program. An updated NOP was released on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, reflecting the project team’s decision to extend the pubic scoping comment period and add an additional virtual scoping meeting. The scope of the Draft EIR, including the goals and objectives, project area, project description, and the environmental impacts to be evaluated were presented at the virtual scoping meetings during the months of October and November.

Virtual public scoping meetings to accept both digital and oral comments on the scope of the Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) were held on the following dates and times:

How to submit public comments:
In addition to accepting public comments orally and digitally during the virtual scoping meetings, oral, digital and written public comments on the scope of the Draft EIR will be accepted starting Thursday, October 1, 2020 extended through Monday, November 16, 2020. All public comments received during the public scoping comment period will be responded to upon the release of the Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) anticipated to be released in Spring 2021.
